Mirage Paintball Sniper Rifle
Another stock mounted sniper conversion. I did
this with a used Mirage semi. The Mirage is a nice choice as it already
has a clean looking trigger frame. They shoot very comporably to a Carbine
but have the nice feature of a rear velocity adjuster. Also, it has a
standard feed so you can sight right down the marker with no feed tube in
the way. IMHO this is a must for any sniper rifle. This is a very clean
stock mount with a fitted hole for the trigger assembly to drop through. I
tapped the body of the mirage so 3 small hex screws hold it firmly in the
stock. It can easily be taken out of the stock by removing the 3 hex
screws and the 2 bottomline screws. To get it back to the plain mirage
you'd just have to put the M16 grip back on and the factory bottomline
adapter which all attaches with 1 bolt. What I like the most about this
conversion is the feel. It's very well balanced and easy to get steady aim
and a smooth shot with the stock. It's designed for use with a small tank
or remote. I made a bracket to angle the bottomline adapter down to match
the angle of the stock. Any skinny tank can be put on, but if it protrudes
past the back of the wood stock it just tends to get in the
way.
The bottom pic shows it fully outfitted with the Smart Parts
barrel, a 3.5 oz tank, ADCO box red dot site and a 50 round ammo box with
the rare TASO push button flip top.
