Paintball Sidearm -
Chopped Vulcan Series 5000 - Final Revisions

Don't ask me what I was thinking, but I picked up a bunch of these. I guess I needed some cheap entertainment. Actually they're fun to work on. The body is fairly soft, they shoot hard and straight (believe it or not), they are lightweight and you can find them cheap! I wasn't completely satisfied with the first rear cocking mod as you could twist the rod and end up working it out of the bold. I decided to make it go back into the gun in a U shape to get rid of the problem. It works much nicer.

I increased the length of the barrel to 4" for looks and better accuracy. I also did some porting on the barrels as these things are rather loud. I tried some different patterns. All work about the same, the difference is more in the looks. I also made a few mini barrel extensions that slide right on the end (adds 3"). They make it even quieter than just the porting. I removed the trigger guard on one to see how it would look.

Tried many color schemes.
