Remote CO2 Paintball Mine

This is something I wanted to do for a while and finally put it together. The mine uses a transmitter and receiver board which work up to about 50'. The receiver sets off a motor which is attached to a gear box. The gear box is attached to a 1/2" ball valve. When the mine is triggered the motor rotates the ball valve 180 degrees. It takes about 1-2 seconds for the process which is enough time to release the entire contents of the 12 gram. This was the first and I'm hoping to do a little better design in the future. The paint chamber is small. The pressure actually atomizes the paint so I couldn't get an accurate distance measurement. I will at least triple the size of the paint chamber. As you can see in the first pic, I am using a small brass nozzle to make a paint stream.

One thing I tried that I loved was that I put a tight piece of rubbing tubing on the nozzle and tied off the other end. I did three tests like this. Once the tubing inflated and exploded and the other two it inflated quite a bit and launched with a decent pop. I never found the tubing.

The remote

This is a keychain size remote with 3 buttons. The main button sets off the mine. The other 2 are different frequencies. The mine can be programmed to accept the other frequencies or you could use 1 remote to trigger 3 different devices.
