Mini Paintball Launcher
You will notice that this one isn't painted or have the finishing
touches yet. It works perfectly, but wasn't quite as small as I wanted. I
was hoping to make a launcher that mounted on the bottom of a marker.
Because all mine have expansion chambers on them, this one is a little
big. It measures about 13" long.
Test firing went far better than expected. There was a bit
of a breeze. I stepped out onto my usual spot on the front porch. A friend
nearby watched as I fired the shell at more than a 45 degree upwards
angle. It went and went and went until I heard a thud. He pointed out that
I had landed it on a house about 2 blocks down the street. OOPS.... I
walked down to apologize and clean up the mess. I ranged it at about 400
feet. He said it went almost as high. Even though it was only a 2" shell,
I had to clean his entire roof and 2 cars because of the splatter. This
little guy may not be perfect, but it sure can loft the shells!

Parts List
Note: This is only a reference
for how I made mine. If you decide to do this yourself, you're on your own
and completely responsible for anything that
happens!

I assembled using plenty of teflon tape. I used a ton
where the 12 gram quick change screws in to the fitting as they are not
exactly the same thread (but very close). I found I needed to
really wrench on the fittings to get them air tight. I also used
PVC primer and PVC cement on all of the PVC joints. PVC Cement needs to
dry overnight before use so I let it dry overnight. Failure to do so
may result in some very undesirable results and possible injury.
I always have some extra CO2 handy as air leaks are common on the
first try and some of the joints may need to be
re-sealed.
