As of 0800 yesterday,I have aquired what I hope will be a permanent fill for the paint grenades. The company is reputable. Iam also leaving room for trying other places as well. The company name will not be disclosed, so please don't ask.

Iam going this route for several reasons:

1- It's a proven fill.

2- I travel so much that I can now leave a 100 made and you can just order when I'm away.

3- saves me about 3 days work of making fill.

4- It's stable and will not settle for long periods of time.

5- Hopefully once everything is figured out I can stay at the same price or just go up slightly.

6-Faster delivery to customers.

I feel this is a great move and it's filled the void I had from not actually going legit.

Having a permanent fill will make filling order easier. No more 2 weeks in advance notice so I can make fill. It's just go out to the shop and start filling.

So hopefully everyone will be happy in the direction Iam moving. Also the company name has not yet been determined. Blackrain is a trade mark of a Hollywood movie, and I don't feel like paying anyone to use the name.

So please bare with me as I make this transition and go thru a testing period.

Later,
Blackrain Twisted Evil

This is why your grenades will always be the best. The relentless pusuit of perfection. I saw that big batch you had for Mout Blanding. I'm so jealous. I can't sell squat anymore. I don't have a good enough rep for people to buy them from me online and I can't get to any big fields to sell them on-site. I'm just making them for my friends and I and I sell a few every now and then. Another problem I have is the fact that my Big grenades don't fit in a pod so if a player doesn't have a grenade pouch they don't have any way to carry them.

is what I'm going for. How ever I always put in a plug in for you and short when I leave town or Country. I thought you were the official DDAY grenade.

Blanding I got thru the team I sponser in Florida. I got really lucky on that. Might think about sponsering a small travel team. Not give them away free, but at a discount.

As far as pouches, look in the private section. I have plans in there for a 50 rnd pod pouch, which also fits the Big Boy Nades. I also have a bunch of cordura and webbing I can sell you if you need some.

Then you can sell pouches with your paint grenades. Or buy so many and get a free pouch.

Yea, I tried for a year to get in the door at D-Day but I would have to buy a vendors permit which is $600.00-$900.00 and then I would have to be there ready to sell grenades at the event and there's no way to tell how many I would sell and I can't afford to make a shit load of grenades and not be guaranteed they would sell. I'm a broke ass bitch. lol.

I sent alot of samples to several people involved in D-Day and they loved them but didn't have the power to do anything.

I didn't realize how much a booth was. That's way to much. However we probably could have sold alot.

I did talk with my wife about doing this at one time. Just renting a tent and having it set up before we arrived.

Paying options were easy to buy paint grenades. If you didn't have cash, but had a paypal account,we would have a laptop set up so you could pay that way Very Happy

Maybe now that I'll have a permanent fill, I'll be able to do this one yr lol.

I just need some time off work to test my fill.

Blackrain... I think you won out on this whole grenade business. I sell maybe 50 every couple of months anymore.

I am bout ready to just call it quits... I make a crap load more money making websites.

SO... with that said... If you even need an online shop for grenades just lemme know. I could hook you up pretty cheap with a very powerful online store.

It just takes time to get things rolling. This just started off as a hobby and ended up with a little cash on the end. I'm not really selling that much. I only sold about a 1000 this yr. That's not even enough to dent the market.

Trust me business will pick up. Just have to advertise a little more. Both of you have a long term fill, now I do to.

There is plenty of room for everyone to make paint grenades.

Actually wait till you see what we are making now. Mom started a new division of the company Twisted Evil

I don't want you guys to quit making paintball grenades. I'll have nothing to share with anyone else. You guys are my grenade think tank, that I come to when I need to talk out issues, Or just plain talk paint grenades.

This all started off as a hobby, just so I could make these for myself. It ended up I make them for everyone else Rolling Eyes

I don't even use paint genades. In my 22 yrs of playing I used them 7 times. 4 of those were just this yr. The other three times were in 88 and 93. However I do know what a player wants in his paint grenade.

The milsim market is out there and it's booming Wink More paint grenades the better. Milsimers are very happy with more bangs for the bucks.

I just got very into the machine itself. That's always been my problem, trying to always improve.

I get more thrill out of seeing the kids face when they can get 5 for the price of 2. Seeing that 12 yr old with all the power and glory of the day in their hand Laughing Look at them thinking how they are going to be the big HERO of the big game with just their one paint grenade. You can't put a price on that Laughing

To be very honest I have pissed off a major distributor out of the area, because I won't sell to him. He's in it for the money,I'm in it for the fun of the sport. I won't even sell to local shops. Just the fields,so they make a very nice profit.

One of my local fields even lets me sell at the same time they are selling. They are just happy to be selling paint grenades. The kids don't want the Tippmann grenades, they want mine.

They also like that I make different colors according to the month. For instance, this is October, which means Candy Corn Packs. Orange,Yellow and White all sealed together Laughing
Nothing spectacular, but it sets the mood for the big game of the month. Who knows,I might even seal in a few candies with the packs.

Those are just some gimmicks I use. Another I use is this. I know some people can only afford to play big games,so I make sure I walk thru the parking lot with sealed paint grenades in hand. First thing I'm asked is "Are those paint grenades, and are you selling them". I do make sure the field sells their's first,I even help them sell the paint grenades.

Also at big game there are always registration tables. That's were the paint grenades are set with a for sale sign. The kids are like sharks in the water, hoping they aren't sold before they can buy them. I'm also there to explain how to use them.

I also sell what I call "Dud Rounds" or "seconds". Those are either a short fill or a little discolored from paint that didin't get cleaned out, is mixed in say purple with pink. Pink being dominate color. Those I sell at a $1.50. or pack of 5 for $7.00 instead of $10.00. I know who doesn't have a lot of cash and who does.
They sell like hot cakes too. Nothing goes to waste when I make these things.

That's how it should be, everyone is happy. However I won't be happy if you guys quit making yours.

So please don't stop. Dvl you have the best area of all of us. Summer is almost yr round in Texas. I bet you even BBQ a Bisquit on Christmas day, just like I used to.

Oh, I'll never stop making them. It's too much fun and I use them ALOT. I'm getting crazy good at throwing them too. I have several pretty big fields within an hour of me but right now I just can't afford to make up a bunch and travel to the games. I have a 3 year old and a 1 year old and we're broke. Withing the next two years I should be able to get out and sell alot more.

I am pretty much done with them for now. I am finding I make much more money on a computer... and it is a lot more fun for me as well.

As for using grenades... I have only ever used 3 in real play. 3. And have gotten a total of 4 people out with them. 3 one time. 2 another. None with my last. I will quit while I am ahead.

I prefer to run around with nothing but a barrel and tag people with that. So far I have 2 kills this way.

As for paintball in general I am focusing more on the speedball side of things... it hones my skills MUCH MUCH faster. I find that woodsballers are on the whole much less fit/athletic and not near as good on the nitty gritty techniques needed to be successful. My favorite game to play is still scenario... but I want to get better, and like any sport you have to practice against people better then you, and that is hard for me to find anymore in the woods. I am up practicing with d3-d4 psp teams... and have scrimmaged against a couple semi-pro teams.

But I am starting to fill out my dream line of guns slowly but surely (I want to own one of every major type of gun. Electro (Spool / Poppet), Mech (Autococker / Mag) Pump (Open Class / Stock Class). I want t o have a NICE gun in every category. Here is my current line-up:

Ego 8 (This is is too friecken fast of a gun... but when you gotta. you gotta)
(You all know what they look like.)

CCM S6 (My favorite gun... ever.)

Automag (This is very close to my dream automag. Single trigger, black, left feed, front foregrip. Couple more things to do and its done.)

Still looking for the perfect next few guns. A Macdev Droid. A <2k Dust Black Cocker with single slider trigger. A very nice acid wash phantom. Hope to be done by the time I go to college in a year.
